If you run recurring projects (multi-site builds, ongoing shopfitouts, whole-of-portfolio refreshes) we'd rather set up a standing relationship than quote the same job type from scratch every time. We also want to speak directly with whoever signs off on the signage, not just relay instructions through a third party. It keeps specifications accurate and installation on schedule.

Every project has its own drawings, but most construction and new-build signage jobs share the same baseline requirements. Here's what we check against on every job we price from plans.
Safety & statutory signage
- Workplace safety signs (symbols, colours, sizes and formats) are made to AS 1319:1994, the Australian Standard for safety signs in workplaces.
- Emergency exit signs must be illuminated or photoluminescent under AS/NZS 2293, so they stay visible during a power failure.
- Site-specific evacuation diagrams (floor layout, exit routes, assembly points, emergency equipment) are produced to AS 3745.
- Sign colour coding follows a fixed code: yellow for warning signs, red for prohibition signs, blue for mandatory signs (e.g. PPE requirements).
- Statutory and safety signage falls under WHS regulations and the Building Code of Australia (BCA) - occupancy limits, hazard warnings, first aid and PPE signage all need to be in place before a facility is used.
Wayfinding & accessibility
- Permanent room-identification signs need tactile (raised) characters and Braille under accessibility standards for public buildings and workplaces.
- Tactile signs are mounted 1200-1600mm from floor to sign centreline, on the latch side of the door, for a consistent, predictable location.
- Wayfinding signage must meet Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) requirements - tactile elements, contrast ratios and mounting heights that work for vision-impaired users.
Structural & council
- Building signs and pylon signs are permanent structures and typically need council development approval before installation.
- Pylon sign foundations are engineered concrete, generally 1-3 metres deep depending on height, wind load and soil conditions, with a minimum 28-day concrete cure before the structure goes up.
- Pylon height limits vary by council - most areas allow 6-10 metres, with some highway locations permitting 15-20+ metres.
- Exterior structures are built in marine-grade aluminium or stainless steel as standard, to hold up against Adelaide's sun and weather.

It's an itemised estimate built from what's on your plans. On complex jobs we may need to confirm a measurement or detail on site before it becomes a final quote - we'll tell you upfront if that's the case for your project.
Every signage item shown on the plans you send gets its own line in the estimate, so you can see exactly what's priced and what isn't.
Yes. Send whatever you've got - full construction drawings, a signage schedule, or the tender document itself - and we'll extract what needs pricing.
For straightforward jobs, plans are usually enough to price from. For larger or more complex projects we may ask to verify measurements on site before manufacture, so what gets built matches what's actually there.
Send through your supplier registration form or tell us what you need from us, and we'll get it completed. We'd rather be your standing signage supplier than quote one job at a time.
