Gigantic Signs

New-build & whole-building signage packages

One supplier for the whole building's signage.

Statutory compliance, wayfinding, reception and the building's own identity sign, all designed, made and installed by one Adelaide factory. One point of contact, one project, one price.

Most new buildings and refreshed properties need five or six different sign types before they can open or re-let a tenancy. We quote, manufacture and install all of it together, so nothing gets missed and nothing gets held up waiting on a second supplier.

35+ years manufacturing signage in Adelaide. One factory, one installation team, every sign type your building needs.

INDICATIVE PRICING

Package Tiers

Indicative pricing from real project history, not a rate card. Every project gets its own itemised quote - these are the starting points. Each tier below shows what it typically draws from the building's signage checklist.

Package 01

Compliance / statutory package

From $1,200 + GST (supply and install)

A whole-building statutory audit and supply: exit signage, evacuation diagrams, workplace safety signs and accessible door signage, checked against what a building certifier actually looks for. Works on its own for an existing building bringing compliance up to standard, or as the base layer under any package below.

What's typically included

Statutory

  • Workplace safety signs (symbols, colours, sizes and formats) are made to AS 1319:1994, the Australian Standard for safety signs in workplaces.
  • Emergency exit signs must be illuminated or photoluminescent under AS/NZS 2293, so they stay visible during a power failure.
  • Site-specific evacuation diagrams (floor layout, exit routes, assembly points, emergency equipment) are produced to AS 3745.

Accessible & door signage

  • Permanent room-identification signs need tactile (raised) characters and Braille under accessibility standards for public buildings and workplaces.

Package 02

Reception package

From $2,500 + GST (supply and install)

A reception or lobby sign plus the supporting door signage and window film a front-of-house needs to read as finished. Usually the first sign a visitor sees and the one a business gets judged on, so it is priced and made as its own project rather than a line item inside a bigger fit-out.

What's typically included

Reception

  • A reception or lobby sign is typically mounted one of three ways: stand-off pins (creating a shadow gap), direct flush-to-wall, or stud-mounted for dimensional depth - the choice depends on wall construction and how much depth the design needs.
  • Illumination options are halo-lit (backlit glow), front-lit, or edge-lit, chosen for the space's lighting and the sign's visibility needs.
  • A quality reception sign lasts 15-20+ years indoors, well beyond most fit-out lease terms.

Package 03

Wayfinding refresh

From $3,900 + GST (supply and install)

Updating an existing building's directory, level and compliance signage. Not a new build - no illuminated identity or pylon component, just bringing an existing building's wayfinding and statutory signage up to standard.

Apartment building wayfinding and compliance refresh

Room numbers, fire door signage, braille statutory signage and building directory board updated across an existing residential building, no new construction involved.

What's typically included

Wayfinding

  • Permanent room-identification signs need tactile (raised) characters and Braille under accessibility standards for public buildings and workplaces.
  • Tactile signs are mounted 1200-1600mm from floor to sign centreline, on the latch side of the door, for a consistent, predictable location.
  • Wayfinding signage must meet Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) requirements - tactile elements, contrast ratios and mounting heights that work for vision-impaired users.

Package 04

Tenant fit-out

From $8,500 + GST (supply and install)

Single-tenancy signage: shopfront/fascia identity, reception sign, door and braille signage, window treatments. For one shop or suite inside a larger building, not the whole building.

Package 05

Full New Build

From $40,000 + GST (supply and install)

for illuminated building identity alone. Add a freestanding pylon and internal wayfinding and the real range moves to from $85,000 + GST (supply and install) for the complete package.

Whole-building signage: illuminated building identity, plus a pylon and/or internal wayfinding and statutory signage, on one project. This is the "one supplier, whole building" package.

Illuminated building-arrival signage

High-level and main-entry illuminated channel-letter signage for a new commercial building, plus design drawings for council approval.

Self-storage facility, whole-of-site

Six internal wayfinding sign types plus four external illuminated signage items and statutory signage, delivered as one project.

Building identification and large freestanding pylon

Illuminated building ID sign plus a 2400 x 10000mm pylon with six double-sided lightboxes, staged across a deposit and final install.

What's typically included

Building sign

  • A building sign (ground-level, freestanding) is typically under 2 metres tall, distinct from a pylon sign, which is built for distance visibility and can run considerably taller.
  • 3D letters on a facade are usually 50-150mm deep, calculated against viewing distance and building scale.
  • Building signs are permanent structures and typically need council development approval before installation; a monument-style sign needs an engineered concrete foundation sized to the sign and local wind load.
  • Where a project's scope includes a freestanding pylon, foundations are generally 1-3 metres deep with a minimum 28-day concrete cure before the structure goes up.
  • Full installation for a building sign typically runs 2-4 weeks, including foundation curing time; exterior structures are built in marine-grade aluminium or stainless steel as standard to hold up against Adelaide's sun and weather.

  • Statutory and safety signage falls under WHS regulations and the Building Code of Australia (BCA) - occupancy limits, hazard warnings, first aid and PPE signage all need to be in place before a facility is used.

None of this needs to be four separate quotes from four separate suppliers. Tell us what the building is and we work out what it needs.
